In short

This tool has no accounts, does not ask for your real name or your email, and does not follow you around other sites. What is stored is what you draw and write in your puzzles, plus a random identifier that tells your profile apart from the others in the same room.

What is stored

Room contents. The levels you create and what you put in them: grid size, obstacles, walls, rooms, pieces, marks and the notes you write. Stored in Cloud Firestore, tied to the room's random code.

Your profile in the room. An identifier generated at random by your device, the display name you chose and a colour. The name is free text — it does not have to be your real name.

On your device. A copy of the room's data, your profile identifier, the list of room codes you have opened on this device, and small preferences (which level and profile were open, the grid size, the chosen language). These live in the browser's local storage so the tool opens quickly, works offline and can bring you back to the last room you used. They are never sent to us separately and disappear if you clear the site's data.

A copy of the tool itself. So it can open without a connection, the browser keeps the site's files (pages, icons and the libraries the tool depends on) in a local cache. Those are the site's files, not your data, and they go away when you clear the site's data.

What is not stored: real name, email, phone number, address, payment details or anything else that identifies you. There is no registration and no session.

Where it lives and who can access it

Room data is held in Cloud Firestore (Google Cloud), in a database hosted in the European Union (multi-region eur3). The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, from the same company.

There are no permissions and no access levels: anyone with a room's link can see and edit everything in it. The protection is that the room code is random, 22 characters long, and there is no way to list rooms or find them by guessing. Only share the link with people you want inside.

The data is not encrypted in a way that only you can read — whoever runs the service technically has access to the database. For puzzle notes that is appropriate; do not use the tool to store sensitive information.

Third-party services

We do not use Google Analytics or any other statistics or cross-site tracking tool.

Cookies

The tool itself uses no cookies. It uses the browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent automatically to any server.

If ads are active, Google may place cookies in your browser. In that case you are asked for consent before personalised ads are loaded, and you can change your mind at any time through the same notice.

Deleting your data

Inside the tool you can delete levels one by one, or use "Clear deductions" to remove your pieces, marks and notes from a level without affecting the other profiles. You can also delete another profile entirely from its tab.

To delete the local copy, clear the site's data in your browser settings. If you want a whole room removed from the database, write to the contact below with the room's link.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to its processing. Since we collect no data that identifies you, the practical way to exercise those rights is through the link of the room in question.

Contact

For any privacy question, or to request the deletion of a room, contact the site owner.
